The largest earthquake to hit Japan in 140 years has caused widespread damage to infrastructure in the northeast of the country, including stoppages at four nuclear power plants that could potentially lead to a spike in global LNG prices if Japan needs to import more LNG volumes to replace lost nuclear power.
