Texas-based Netherland Sewell & Associates has estimated that Israel’s Leviathan field contains reserves of up to 21.1 Tcf of natural gas. This compares with previous estimates of 16 Tcf. A large proportion of the Leviathan gas production is earmarked for export, potentially via an LNG terminal in Cyprus.
