Gas exports from Egypt to neighbouring Israel and Jordan were halted yesterday after a fire erupted on a key interconnector in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. The pipeline blast was reportedly caused by an attack on a gas metering station operated by the Egyptian gas TSO Gasco, a subsidiary of the national gas company EGAS.
