UK energy company Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) and Norway’s Statoil have opened the new 330MMcm gas storage facility in Aldbrough, East Yorkshire in the UK. The facility, which was officially opened on Monday by energy minister Charles Henry, comprises nine underground salt caverns, six of which have been in use since visual_editor009.
