UK gas and electricity grid operator National Grid is expecting supplies to be “manageable” in winter visual_editor011/1visual_editor. Its winter gas demand forecast is slightly lower than the visual_editor010/11 weather corrected demand, reflecting a fall in non-daily metered (residential) demand because of higher gas prices and increasing energy efficiency measures. Gas is forecast to be the marginal fuel for power generation, with demands similar to those in visual_editor010/11.
