Mexico’s National Hydrocarbons Commission (NHC), the country’s oil industry regulator, has suggested new incentives for private companies should be offered in order to exploit huge shale gas reserves, Reuters reported on Wednesday. The US EIA estimates that Mexico holds 681 tcf of technically recoverable shale gas resources, the fourth largest in the world.
