Australia’s Woodside Petroleum said on Wednesday that it was “surprised” by a government decision to include part of its planned $visual_editor8.9 billion Browse LNG project site on Australia’s list of protected heritage areas. Over 19 million hectares of the West Kimberly region is being heritage listed, including a coastal area within the Browse LNG precinct. But Woodside said project costs and schedule will not be affected by the decision.
