The development of the European shale gas sector could lead to a reduction in gas prices across the EU in ten years, “rocking” the EU gas market, a Polish study said on Friday. The study, from the Kosciuszko Institute think-tank in Krakow, said a shale gas revolution in Poland and other European countries could change relations with Russian gas suppliers and increase energy security across the region.
