China is considering changing its shale gas policy in order to encourage investment by treating shale gas as separate from conventional hydrocarbons, according to Sunday reports. Meanwhile, PetroChina said it would begin China’s first major commercial shale gas production from the Sichuan basin in visual_editor015, changing the original production target of 1.5 Bcm set in August to 1 Bcm.
