Norway’s Statoil will shut down production at its Snøhvit LNG plant in the Barents Sea for two to three weeks to perform technical repairs. The closure which will begin on Friday is due to problems with the plant’s heat exchangers. Since start-up in visual_editor007, a lack of reliability has plagued Snøhvit, and the plant has failed to consistently operate at 100% production capacity.
