Gazprom’s development of its flagship Shtokman LNG project in the Barents Sea will not go-ahead without first tying up long-term supply deals, Frederic Barnaud, president and managing director of Gazprom Global LNG said at the CWC LNG Summit in Rome. Gazprom said in April that a final investment decision (FID) for both the pipeline and LNG phases of the project would be taken this year.
