An Australian national government enquiry into the effects of coal seam gas (CSG) developments on agricultural lands in Queensland and New South Wales has cautioned state regulators that farming activity must “take priority over the needs of the gas industry”. In Queensland “the industry is well ahead of regulation and the planners", enquiry chairman Bill Heffernan said.
