BP is selling its Canadian natural gas liquids (NGL) business to Plains Midstream Canada for $1.67 billion. The sale forms part of the company’s ongoing divestment program, originally initiated to cover liabilities from the Macondo oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico but now extended to “high-grade” BP’s asset portfolio to boost cash flow.
