Petronas said it is considering building a third LNG terminal in Lumut, Malaysia to help meet a shortage of supply in the power sector and among industrial users, according to media reports. “Looking at the current gas demand, we have no choice but to build the third LNG terminal,” Petronas chief executive officer Datuk Shamsul Azhar Abbas said. “The plant in Lumut is our latest plan.”
