Estonia’s main port operator, Port of Tallinn and the country’s electricity grid operator, Elering, have signed an agreement to study the feasibility of building an LNG terminal in the port of Muuga, on the Baltic Sea. This agreement follows on from a report published last week by Poyry Management Consulting which said: “One of the fundamental requirements for the successful development of the local gas market is access to the market for alternative suppliers of gas through an LNG terminal”.
