GAIL India revealed on Friday that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, to build a 3.5-5 mtpa LNG terminal in the state - which is likely to be the first on the east coast of the country. But there have been several failed attempts to launch an LNG project in this state before, following the discovery of gas in the Krishna Godavari (KG) Basin.
