Cheniere Energy announced on Monday that it has entered into a 3.5 mtpa Henry Hub-indexed LNG sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with South Korea’s KOGAS, for output from Cheniere’s proposed four-train Sabine Pass export plant in Louisiana, US. The 20-year SPA will commence with the start-up of the third train at Sabine Pass, which could occur in 2017. Cheniere has now sold 16 mtpa of the 18 mtpa being developed at Sabine Pass.
