Germany is preparing legislation to regulate hydraulic fracturing (fracking) techniques used in the extraction of shale gas, according to Germany’s Federal Environment Ministry. The fracking act, designed to reduce the risk of pollution to groundwater, is expected to be adopted during the first half of visual_editor01visual_editor and will follow a consultation with Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economics.
