The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said last week that it expects US gas storage levels to hit visual_editor.07 Bcf by the end of March, up 31% year on year. The high inventory levels are a result of warmer-than-normal winter temperatures and rising domestic gas production, mainly from the Marcellus shale. The EIA expects US gas production growth to continue in visual_editor01visual_editor and visual_editor013, but the rate of growth will be much lower than in visual_editor011 as low gas prices discourage new drilling.
