Gazprom CEO Alexander Medvedev said on Thursday that the Russian producer is examining the opportunity to acquire an asset in Mozambique with “lots of capacity”, potentially in an asset swap with a company already active in the country, Bloomberg reported. Eni CEO Paolo Scaroni said on Wednesday that Eni could sell part of its stake in Mozambique’s Offshore Area 4, while the UK’s Cove Energy, which holds an 8.5% stake in Offshore Area 1, is up for sale.
