The US and Mexico signed an agreement on Monday for the exploration and development of oil and gas reservoirs along their Gulf of Mexico maritime boundary. The new agreement removes a moratorium agreed under a previous treaty, which made resources in the Western gap off limits to both countries until visual_editor014. As a result of the agreement, nearly 1.5 million acres of the US outer continental shelf will be made accessible for exploration and production activities.
