The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Tuesday raised its estimate for 2012 US gas production for the second month in a row, despite a wave of cutbacks in dry gas production by companies shifting to more profitable liquids output. The EIA now expects 2012 gas output to grow by 1.7 Bcf/d – or 2.6% – to a record 67.9 Bcf/d – up from February’s estimate of 2.3% growth.
