Italy's antitrust authority said on Thursday it had launched an investigation into Eni's possible abuse of its dominance of cross-border gas transport capacity into the country. The authorities are investigating whether Eni, which owns the largest portion of capacity rights on the TAG and Transitgas pipelines, has limited the availability of transmission capacity for other importers.
