UK energy secretary Edward Davey will launch a competition worth up to £20 million ($31.3 million) to fund the development of innovations in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology, in order to develop cheaper CCS systems for pilot-scale demonstration, the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) said on Monday.
