Eni CEO Paolo Scaroni told Gas Matters Today on Thursday that “it is still early days” to talk about development of, or consolidation between, “four LNG hubs” in East Africa, despite plans by Eni, Anadarko, Statoil and BG Group to develop liquefaction projects in the region. Scaroni is confident Asian demand growth will absorb all planned East African LNG. “We believe the market in Asia can only grow and we are very well-placed to serve it,” he said.
