A report issued by the Polish Geological Institute (PGI) on Wednesday, based on the analysis of 39 wells drilled in Poland from the 1950s to the 1980s, estimated that the country could hold 768 Bcm of technically recoverable shale gas resources. The PGI’s new estimate is around 85% lower than an EIA estimate for Poland made in April last year.
