Jordan Cove Energy Project – which plans to construct and operate an LNG plant on the spit of Coos Bay, in Oregon – told the US Department of Energy (DoE) late last week that it was seeking long-term authorisation to export LNG to any nation with which the US does not have a Free Trade Agreement. If built, the plant would have the capacity to produce about 6 mtpa.
