The US state of Alaska has settled a long-running dispute with Exxon Mobil about the lease for the 8 Tcf Point Thomson gas field, located 95 km east of Prudhoe Bay. The settlement, announced on Friday, opens the way for Exxon Mobil and partners ConocoPhillips, BP and TransCanada to potentially develop an LNG export project, while also setting targets for crude and condensate production from the field.
