Output at the 6.7 mtpa Yemen LNG plant at Balhaf on the Gulf of Aden was halted on Friday after an attack by militants. The attack damaged the feeder pipeline, which brings gas to the liquefaction plant from the upstream Block 18. The Total-led Yemen LNG consortium said in a statement that the loss of production was expected to be limited to four LNG cargoes, as the plant was already due to be shut down for annual maintenance from April 15.
