Australia's federal and Western Australian state governments on Tuesday gave partners in the $28.9 billion Browse LNG project – Woodside Petroleum, Shell, BP, Chevron, and BHP Billiton – more time to reach a final investment decision (FID), amid opposition from environmentalists and landowners over where to process the gas.
