InterOil said on Monday that the Papua New Guinea (PNG) government plans to cancel an agreement for the development of its $6 billion Gulf LNG project in the country. The company said it had received a notice from the Department of Petroleum and Energy (DPE) of an intention to cancel the 2009 LNG project agreement between Liquid Niugini Gas (LNGL) and the independent State of Papua New Guinea.
