Excelerate Energy plans to construct the first floating gas-liquefaction plant in the US, located in Port Lavaca, situated between Galveston and Corpus Christi on the Texas Gulf Coast, the company said on Tuesday. In its initial phase the Lavaca Bay LNG project will comprise a floating liquefaction storage offloading vessel (FLSO) with 3 mtpa of production capacity, visual_editor50,000 cm of LNG storage and a fully integrated gas processing plant.
