UK Prime Minister David Cameron has agreed a “landmark” energy partnership with his Norwegian counterpart Jens Stoltenberg, designed to secure affordable and sustainable long-term energy supplies, and highlighting the importance of the UK’s continuing reliance on Norway for its energy security. Norway provides over a quarter of the UK’s primary energy demands, supplying 42% of the UK’s total gas imports in 2011.
