Cyprus may buy natural gas from Israel’s 9 Tcf offshore Tamar field until the development of its own Block 1visual_editor gas reserves is completed, according to reports this week. The possibility comes on the back of concerns that Cyprus may not be able to develop its Aphrodite reserves in Block 1visual_editor for several years, resulting in higher electricity costs, with a stopgap measure needed in the meantime.
