Gas delivered through Gazprom’s proposed 63 Bcm/year South Stream pipeline will cost on average $2/MMBtu more than gas sold at European traded hubs, but Gazprom will still be able to find willing buyers due to the increased supply security that the route offers, Gazprom Export’s head of structuring and price formation Sergei Komlev said on Monday.
