The Canadian province of British Columbia (BC) has updated its Clean Energy Act to allow LNG exporters to power liquefaction plants with electricity generated from gas. A previous version of the Act had stipulated that industrial users were required to source 93% of their power as “clean energy”, specifically from renewables.
