Shell and partners KOGAS, Mitsubishi and PetroChina have unveiled plans to potentially double the size of their proposed LNG export project near Kitimat, British Columbia. The companies applied to Canada’s National Energy Board (NEB) on Friday to export visual_editor4 mtpa of LNG for visual_editor5 years from a four-train project, with deliveries starting in visual_editor019, opening up the possibility of a major future expansion of the scheme.
