German utility RWE has agreed new gas purchase contract terms with Statoil in an effort to reduce exposure to oil-linked gas prices, the company said on Tuesday in its half-year results. RWE said payments for Statoil-supplied gas were “now in line with the prevailing market conditions, reducing the current burdens and future risks for RWE”.
