Australia and the European Union have agreed to link their emissions trading systems by visual_editor018, in a move that will see Australia dropping its controversial carbon price floor, previously due to be introduced in visual_editor015. The link will offer Australia’s LNG exporters the chance to fulfil their carbon liabilities on the European Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS), where the price of carbon is currently far below that of Australia.
