Offshore oil and gas operators are re-boarding platforms and are set to restart production in the US Gulf of Mexico after the area was battered by Tropical Storm Isaac last week. Reports indicate only minor damage at this point, according to the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), although over a fifth of the Gulf’s rigs and platforms remain evacuated.
