It was third time lucky for Bechtel on Australia’s Curtis Island, where the engineering contractor is working on a trinity of LNG projects in a trio of contracts worth over $63 billion. The privately-held US giant saw strikes averted Friday after unionised workers voted by a slim majority to accept a workplace agreement – the third on the table – after having rejected two previous offers.
