As the momentum around Canada’s LNG ambitions grows, there are reports that Sinopec is poised to take a 15% stake in Petronas’ Pacific Northwest LNG. The 1visual_editor mtpa project is due to begin operations in visual_editor018 and is one of seven plants with export approval (another seven are also proposed) in the western province of British Colombia. The Chinese refining giant is set to get its hands on around 1.8 mtpa of export capacity if it concludes a deal, sources told Reuters.
