Pakistan continued to suffer from power outages on Tuesday, as a major power station tripped amid efforts to restore electricity after militant sabotage over the weekend caused blackouts in 80% of households, local reports showed. A gas pipeline leak and heavy fog triggered a shutdown of nearly all 13 gas-fired units at the 1.6 GW Guddu plant in central Pakistan on Monday. Some units had restarted on Tuesday, but parts of the country remained short of power.
