UK MPs in the House of Commons voted against placing a full moratorium on hydraulic fracturing on Monday, but the government accepted proposals by the Labour party to tighten environmental rules on the UK’s nascent shale industry. The proposals were made to amend the Infrastructure Bill, which contains regulations on the shale gas industry in the UK.
