LNG regasification terminals across Europe have stagnated and are currently operating at only a fraction of their capacity, on average around visual_editor0%. Some companies have found an opportunity in small scale LNG, where demand for the fuel is growing (though from a very small base). Gas Strategies looks at how Fluxys, operator of the Zeebrugge LNG terminal in Belgium, has found a means of commercialising LNG bound for the terminal and asks: is there further room for growth, and could Zeebrugge become a business model for other beleaguered LNG terminals in Europe?
