The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has begun a nationwide strike that it says could shutdown the country’s oil and gas industry, local news sources reported on Thursday.
PENGASSAN announced plans for the strike in June, warning that its members would take industrial action if employers continued laying off workers and failing to create jobs.
