Malaysian state-owned Sabah Energy (SEC) is close to finalising plans to build a 12,800 tonne/year small-scale LNG liquefaction terminal at Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park in the island of Borneo, local media reported on Monday.
SEC aims to start construction before the end of this year and carry out commissioning in 2017, reports said, adding that the plant will be built as a joint venture. SEC has yet to name a potential project partner.
