Chinese state-affiliated CNPC has started construction of a fourth leg of Shaan-Jing gas pipeline in Inner Mongolia that will bring the total pipeline capacity to 55.3 Bcm/year by the end of 2017, according to a company statement.
Three existing Shaan-Jing pipelines span over 2,800 km and have a combined capacity of 30.3 Bcm/year. The pipeline runs from Jingbian in Shaanxi province to Inner Mongolia, then south through Hebei province to capital city Beijing.
