Five European companies hoping to collaborate in the proposed 55 Bcm/year Nord Stream 2 pipeline from Russia to Germany are looking for new ways to fund the project, according to reports.
Earlier this month, a joint venture application by Gazprom, Engie, OMV, Shell, Uniper and Wintershall was rejected by Polish competition authority UOKiK on the grounds that the project would give the companies greater market power, particularly regarding price and flows to Poland.
