The Lax Kw’alaams First Nation has voted nearly 2:1 in favour of continuing discussions with business partners and the provincial government of British Columbia over the proposed 12 mtpa Pacific NorthWest LNG (PNW LNG) project.
A ballot on whether the Lax Kw’alaams council should work toward “agreements to maximize benefits for members and continue discussions with government and proponents” drew 532 votes ‘for’ and 279 ‘against’.
